Darren Ferguson is confident that his side have what it takes to have a strong end to the season.
Rovers are now in the final stretch of their first season back in Sky Bet League One, and Ferguson feels that he has a strong squad to work with as they head towards their final games.
“We have to make sure we get our own house in order and that we respect the opposition, it doesn’t matter whether you come against top of the league or bottom of the league,” Ferguson said.
“We’ve spoken about what I expect and I’m looking for a reaction, myself and the players have a great relationship and they know what I’m about.
“We need to play our own game and hopefully that’ll be good enough for us to get results and finish strongly."
Ferguson has made many changes since his arrival in October 2015, with the influence of younger players being something that hasn’t gone unnoticed, and he is confident that they will make the step up.
“We have some very good young players within the squad and everyone is aware of that, Alfie Beestin is doing very well at the minute, he can play up-front or in midfield,” he said.
"Alex Kiwomya is another coming through, he’s been out a long time but I’m looking forward to see him getting his chance in the side and taking it when it comes.
“The young players know they need to step up and take responsibility, regardless of their age, they are all fully aware that they need to give me the performances I’m looking for and I as a manager now have to make the right changes.”
