Darren Ferguson is looking forward to continuing his work with forward Alex Kiwomya and says he wants to develop the 21-year-old in different positions within the team.
Kiwomya has featured against Portsmouth and Charlton Athletic respectively since his return from a lengthy spell on the sidelines, and Ferguson says his pace and penetration gives Rovers an extra dimension.
“It’s great for Alex to be back with us, it is important that he got back first and foremost, and he has come on in the last 30 minutes of the last two games,” he said.
“Once when we were leading and once when we were trying to get something out of the game, he still needs a lot of work and a lot of development in different roles within the team.
“Clearly he gives us out and out pace and penetration, and those traits are the main reasons why we signed him, we have a real togetherness and a tight bunch of players and staff from top to bottom.”
