Foodbank collection at Charlton game

Rovers supporters have donated almost 400kg of food plus more than £400 in cash donations since the launch of a fans-led collection for Doncaster Foodbank.

The DRFCFans4Foodbanks initiative launched just before Christmas with a foodbank collection point outside the Belle Vue Bar at every home game with volunteers there to accept donations.

The foodbank collection will be in place again for the visit of Charlton Athletic on Saturday February 10.

Fans can also leave donations at the Club Doncaster Box Office or club shop on non-matchdays.

Suggested items are:

Cereal

  • Soup
  • Pasta
  • Rice
  • Pasta sauce
  • Beans
  • Tinned meat
  • Tinned vegetables
  • Tea/coffee
  • Tinned fruit
  • Biscuits

Non-food items are also welcome, such as:

  • Toiletries – deodorant, toilet paper, shower gel, shaving gel, shampoo, soap, toothbrushes, tooth paste, hand wipes
  • Household items – laundry liquid detergent, laundry powder, washing up liquid
  • Feminine products – sanitary towels and tampons
  • Baby supplies – nappies, baby wipes and baby food. (Please note, due to advice from UNICEF they cannot accept formula milk.)
