Mathieu Baudry is hoping he can help Rovers turn a corner when they face Fleetwood Town in Sky Bet League One this weekend.
The French defender has missed the past four league games with a hamstring injury, but is set to be included in Darren Ferguson's squad for the game at the Keepmoat Stadium.
He said: "It's nice to be back, it's been a frustrating few weeks having to watch the team from the sidelines but I'm back now and ready to go.
"It is a team effort when things are going well or not so well, we have to stick together and take responsibility for what is going wrong at present.
"When the results aren't going your way and confidence drops a little bit, that is when you need to step up and show the qualities which got you in the team in the first place."
The 29-year-old believes that relaxing and playing with confidence is key to a change in fortune for Rovers, as they go in search of their first win in 2018.
He added: "We need to relax and play with a confidence because we know we are good players and that is why the manager puts us in the team.
"When you get to this part of the season, every game is difficult because you are constantly playing against teams who are battling at different ends of the table for one thing or another.
"We aren't going to change what we do, we have a game plan and a style of play which has been successful in the past so it's all about sticking to that."
