Anderson looking forward to League One test

31 January 2018

Defender Tom Anderson is looking forward to testing himself at League One level after signing on loan from Premier League side Burnley on transfer deadline day.

The 6ft 3 powerhouse spent the first half of the 2017/18 season with Port Vale in Sky Bet League Two, and Anderson says that he has enjoyed his first few days in training with his new teammates.

“I’m looking forward to the challenge of stepping up to League One and testing myself, I spent the first six months of the season with Port Vale in League Two,” he said.

“You have to use what you have and what I have is a lot of height, I want to dominate in the air and be the best defender that I can be.

“The lads seem like a great bunch and they have made it very easy for me to settle in, training has been very good so far and there is always a bit of banter on the first few days which is good.”

You can see Tom Anderson in action at the Keepmoat Stadium against Charlton Athletic on Saturday February 10. Purchase tickets from the Club Doncaster Box Office, on 01302 762576 or at
