Boocock's delight at first goal

23 January 2018

Reives Boocock was happy to get his first goal of the season after netting the equalising goal in Rovers’ 2-2 draw against Scunthorpe United.

Boocock was impressed by the team's character to rescue the draw, leaving them unbeaten in six games.

He said: “We drew the game so it’s nice to score for the team after all the work we put in because I felt we were on top for most of the game.

“We did well to come back from 2-0 down as a team – it’s what we deserved.”

The striker has been impressed with the support of the staff after enduring a spell on the sidelines.

He addedd: “I’ve been out for 12 weeks so it’s hard, but I’ve had good support from the physio, so it’s good to get back.

“I think the staff are doing their best for me because training is to my personal needs and because of their work I’m improving, as well as the team. My aim now is to score more goals.”
