Horton has confidence in U18s

30 January 2018

Rovers U18s defender Branden Horton is confident the team can rectify their 2-1 defeat at Chesterfield against York City next weekend.

The left-back believes that it was a game of two halves against the Spireites and thinks that there is still a lot to come from the team.

He said: “First-half we weren’t good enough but in the second-half I thought we came out and played well. I’m very confident that next week we’ll get a better result.

“I think we’ve been playing alright and next year hopefully we can go on and progress if you look at the team we played today.

“I’m happy to get my goal, but it’s not really something I’ve practiced, but in the first-half we got a free-kick and Cammy Barnett put it in and I thought that with the next one I’ll just have a shot and thankfully it went in."
