Rovers’ U18s battled to a 1-1 draw against Mansfield Town at Cantley Park.
Rovers’ open chance came after eight minutes when a Lewis Scattergood effort was deflected wide, with Danny Amos’ resulting corner flicked on by Jacob Fletcher just not falling for a team-mate.
Paul Stancliffe’s men had enjoyed all the early possession, but fell behind after 11 minutes when the Stags intercepted a pass and Riley O’Sullivan fired home.
That did not knock the home side out of their stride and Scattergood had another effort blocked, after being played through by Dipo Olaosun, before Cameron Folks had to go off after being injured in a tackle.
Scattergood headed just over from a Cody Prior delivery before James Morris drew his side level from a scramble which followed an Amos corner just before the break.
Rovers pushed for the winner in the second period, with Scattergood seeing a headed effort come crashing off the crossbar and Matthew Overton denied by a key block.
Home keeper James Leverton had to be alert to tip Cameron Weston’s shot behind for a corner in the only real effort from the young Stags after the break.
Rovers were reduced to 10 men after 80 minutes when Keegan Townrow was shown a straight red for a push on a Mansfield player.
