The sponsored Lakeside walk with local war hero Ben Parkinson MBE returns for 2018 on January 27.
As part of the Get Doncaster Moving campaign and supported by Pilgrim Bandits Charity, Doncaster residents are invited to walk with Ben around the lake, and cheer him on as he returns back to the Keepmoat Stadium.
Free of charge, Club Doncaster Foundation will also be providing refreshments for the walkers, along with a discounted entry to the clash between Doncaster Rovers and Bristol Rovers.
Head of Club Doncaster Foundation John Davis said: “It’s great to be welcoming Ben Parkinson MBE and the Pilgrim Bandits back to the Keepmoat Stadium, the work they do with injured veterans is life changing and Ben’s an inspiration for so many.”
The walk is a fantastic way to get fit, meet new friends and raise valuable money for Ben’s Pilgrim Bandits charity, who will be collecting donations on the day.
The last two walks have seen hundreds of people support Ben and this year’s walk promises to be just as popular.
A 9.30am meet time is set for the day, with a 10am set off around the lake.
