Ben Whiteman says it was an easy decision to sign permanently with Doncaster Rovers, after penning a three-and-a-half-year-deal with the club.
The midfielder scored seven goals in 30 appearances during his initial six-month-loan spell, and is happy to have secured his future at the Keepmoat Stadium after Rovers paid a six-figure sum to secure his services.
“I’m made up to have signed for this club permanently, we’ve managed to get it all sorted fairly quickly and my aim was always to get back here,” he said.
"I enjoyed my loan spell and that’s what made me want to come back, it was an easy decision to come back here once the offer went in.
“The aim was to get it done and dusted so that I could be a part of the game on Saturday, we’ve managed to do that and now I’m buzzing to get going again.”
Whiteman is Rovers’ joint top scorer in all competitions this season, and is looking to increase his tally between now and the end of the season.
“I’ve scored a few goals in my time here so I want to keep improving on that, I want to score as many as I can to help the team continue to climb the table,” he added.
“The manager has been great for me, he developed me and allowed me to express myself which was one of the biggest reasons why I came here in the first place.
“I’m looking for more of the same in terms of the performances we’ve been putting in, we’ve been on a good run recently and managed to pick up a few wins so hopefully we can keep that going.”
