Rovers have appointed Lee Glover as opposition analyst, as Grant McCann expands his backroom team ahead of the new season.
Glover’s role will include taking the lead on scouting upcoming opponents, as well as assisting coaching the development squad.
He has previously worked with manager McCann at Peterborough United, where he acted as his assistant.
McCann said: “I am delighted to bring in Lee, he is someone I know very well, he is very experienced and knows the way I work.
“He will be very much concentrating on oppositions as well as being involved with myself, Cliff Byrne and John Schofield on the development of our younger players.”
Glover has had a number of coaching roles since his playing career, with management jobs at Corby Town and Grantham Town followed by a spell at Derby County.
At the Rams he was professional development coach, working under Nigel Clough and Steve McClaren, prior to his move to London Road.
Rovers kick-off their Sky Bet League One campaign at Southend United on Saturday August 4, before their first home outing against Wycombe Wanderers the following Saturday.
