Forward Alex Kiwomya says he is looking forward to building on his partnership with John Marquis during the 2018/19 Sky Bet League One season.
Kiwomya and Marquis played alongside each other on 10 occasions in the latter stages of last season, scoring seven goals between them, and he wants the pair to reach double figures this season.
“Me and John have a good partnership up top, he assisted me for my goal against Fleetwood in my first start for the club, and I went onto assist him for his goal against Rotherham,” he said.
“Over time you will play better together, and last season we didn’t really get that because there were a lot of changes in the starting line-up, but hopefully we can work together this season and get double figures between us.”
Rovers kick-off their Sky Bet League One campaign at Southend United on Saturday August 4, before their first home outing against Wycombe Wanderers the following Saturday.
