Grant McCann says the departure of Russ Wilcox will allow him to strengthen his backroom staff at the club.
The head of recruitment leaves Rovers after two years in the role, and McCann has thanked Wilcox for his efforts.
He said: "I'd like to thank Russ for his efforts during my time at the club, and I wish him all the best for the future.
"I am keen to recruit my own personnel in that position, which supports my vision of where I want the club to go.
"I’ve already spoken to the right people and am excited to have signed Ali Crawford and Mallik Wilks, and may have more additions before the start of the season."
