Morgan James was rewarded for his appearances in both youth and first team football with a professional contract this summer.
James featured in the Checkatrade Trophy for the first team, as well as playing in both defence and his preferred midfield in both youth and development games, and academy manager Kieran Scarff says his overall play helped him secure a senior deal.
“Morgan has an infections and enthusiastic approach to his work, and his crisp passing in midfield areas, his aggression and his energy consistently sees him stand out in his performances,” he said.
“He has been developing some strong leadership skills and demands high standards, not just from himself but from those around him too.
“His performances in the Checkatrade Trophy and in the development games have given us a glimpse of his potential with senior players around him, and as coaches, we really look forward to Morgan working hard to show his skills and qualities during the next stage of his career.”
