Louis Jones is hoping to force his way into the first-team picture in 2018-19, his second season as a professional at Rovers.
The youngster had a number of loan spells in non-league during 2017-18, and is planning on pushing Ian Lawlor and Marko Marosi for a place in the first-team’s matchday squads.
He said: “I’m definitely happy with my contract extension. It is another year to work hard, improve and I aim to get into the first-team.
“Marko and Ian are brilliant with me, they’re still quite young as well so I feel like we all learn off each other but with the help of them two and Paul Gerrard, all of us can progress.”
