Manager Darren Ferguson has confirmed that central defenders Andy Butler and Andy Boyle are back training with the team.
Butler has not been involved since sustaining a knee injury against Shrewsbury Town in Rovers’ 2-2 draw with the league leaders back in January, while Boyle has missed the last two games with a groin injury, and Ferguson says it is a positive to have them back.
"Andy Butler and Andy Boyle are both back in training, and they will be available for the upcoming games, which is a massive positive,” he said.
“They are back training and we will be assessing whether they will be ready to start the games over the next few days, once we get through tomorrow’s session, we will see where we are after that.
“I don’t want to rush anyone back especially Butler as Boyle has done a bit more than Butts, so we will just have to wait and see really.”
