Ferguson praises squad's resilience

4 March 2018

Manager Darren Ferguson has praised his squads’ resilience as the side continues to battle against injuries.

During the course of the 2017/18 season, Rovers have had to contest with 40 injuries, and Ferguson is looking forward to welcoming key players back into his squad.

“It’s not like they have been one week injuries either, they have been six-weeks minimum, but we have to get on with it and luckily we are starting to welcome players back into the squad,” he said.

“Andy Butler, Joe Wright and Mathieu Baudry are all back, you can add Andy Williams into that list as well, so I am sure that we will be fine going forward.

“The muscle injuries that we have had this season have been quite minimal actually, it is certainly been annoying that is for sure and over the last two years it has been a really unlucky spell."

Tickets for the game against Bradford City on Monday March 19 at the Keepmoat Stadium are available from tickets.clubdoncaster.co.uk.
