Rovers player Matty Blair took part in a PE lesson at Auckley School on Tuesday as part of the EFL’s Day Of Action.
Matty is a regular at events put on by the Club Doncaster Foundation, and joined in the session which was highlighted in national media with a live appearance on Sky Sports News.
Matty said: “We had a bit of a kick around with the kids, just getting them involved and having a bit of fun. It’s no secret that I’ve always enjoyed these visits, it’s a chance to interact and learn from new people.
“When I signed for the club I could see straight away that we were big in the community, so I’ve just tried to go with it and me and the football club get on great.
“It’s massive that we have that bond between supporters, players and club in general. It’s really important to us as players that the fans feel part of the club, and we really appreciate their support.”
