Professional development coach John Schofield praised the way Rovers’ Development side dominated the game in his side’s 1-0 win over Walsall on Tuesday.
A 12th-minute strike from Issam Ben Khemis was enough to give the visitors the win, and Schofield was impressed with his side’s high intensity pressing game.
“It was something I said to the lads in changing rooms before we came out, how I wanted to get on their first touch and put them under pressure,” he said.
“We played at a real intensity, with good tempo and good aggression, we always looked to go forward when we could and that is pleasing.
“That is something that we concentrate on as a club, is to keep hold of the ball and make sure we go forward with a purpose.”
