Striker Andy Williams is targeting a strong end to the season after playing 75 minutes in the Development side’s 1-0 victory over Walsall on Tuesday.
Williams sustained an injury to an ankle against Wigan Athletic in November at the DW Stadium, and he says it has been a frustrating few months on the sidelines.
“I am paid to be a professional footballer and it is frustrating to be sat watching games and unfortunately it is something I have done far too much at Doncaster, and it is something that I am not used too,” he said.
“I want to get back and help the lads out as much as I can, it was frustrating watching the team from the sidelines and hopefully after three months out I can come back and add something different.
“It is hugely important for me to kick on now, and personally I am out of contract at the end of the season as well so it is really important for me to get my head down.”
