Young Rovers fan Zeke Bolton was given a unique behind the scenes experience during a recent game.
Zeke, who is undergoing treatment for leukaemia, joined Rovers’ media team during the visit of Charlton Athletic.
Zee helped media manager Luke Thornhill ensure the day went smoothly, helping film pre-match videos and choose the pictures which went on social media.
He also got to meet all the players, high-fiving them all as they came off after the warm-up and then getting photos with them all after the match.
Luke said: “Zeke was brilliant and seemed to really enjoy his day, he was a big help and Donny Dog even found time to stop by to say hello during the second half.
“The players loved getting to meet him, and everyone at the club wishes him well in his fight against leukaemia.”
Zeke’s father Thom joined him for the day. He said: “This was a wonderful gesture from Rovers and created lifelong memories for Zeke.
“It is another example of the club going above and beyond to make matches special for fans.”
