Cody Prior is pleased that his hard work has paid off after agreeing a professional deal at the club.
Prior, who has captained both the youth team and development side this season, says that Rovers midfielder Tommy Rowe has been a huge inspiration to him since his arrival in 2016.
“I’m over the moon with my deal because I think it shows that if you put the work in that you’ll get the rewards for it, I think I’ve come on leaps and bounds this year," he said.
"I’ve become more of a leader in the dressing room as well as out on the pitch, it’s good to be recognised as being a leader in the dressing room. My overall play as come a long way too and I’m aiming to continue to improve all the time.
“All the first-team players have been great but for me I look up to Tommy Rowe who plays in my position as he is always doing extra work in the gym and extra work after training which is something I try to do myself while modelling my play around him.”
