Rowe delighted to be back

4 May 2018

Midfielder Tommy Rowe is enjoying being back around the club as he continues rehabilitation from surgery on a hamstring problem.

The 29-year-old has been away from the side since the game against Bury on April 17 after going under the knife, and spent Thursday and Friday back at the Cantley Park training ground.

“It’s a great feeling to be back, I have been off for two weeks just trying to stay off my legs. Joe Sharp said I could come back for a few days a week, and it is so good to get back with the lads,” he said.

“The idea is to slowly build-up the right hamstring and get it back to something that used to be with the strength and power, it is a long process and its all about making sure you build the muscle back up.

“It has been a good season for us, you could look back on the season and say we should have picked up points here and there, but we can look back on it and be pleased with ourselves.”

Saturday's game with Wigan Athletic is an all-ticket fixture, with no cash gates available in the South Stand, and only available to those with a Doncaster postcode, or a previous booking history. Tickets are still available via the Club Doncaster Box Office, either by visiting in-store, calling on 01302 762576, or online at tickets.clubdoncaster.co.uk.
