Max Watters is looking to follow in the footsteps of Alfie May and Alfie Beestin after becoming the latest non-league signing made by Darren Ferguson.
The 19-year-old has penned a two-year-deal from Ashford United, and wants to continue to progress while working with the Rovers coaching staff.
He said: "I had a week trial with the club and felt I did well, I managed to score for the Development side so that boosted my confidence.
"I look at Alfie May and aspire to be like him as he played in the same league as me before coming here, he's done really well since signing.
"Hopefully I can get used to the speed of the play quickly and look to get involved with the first-team, I can play in a number of positions."
