Ian Lawlor has been happy to get a consistent run in the Rovers starting XI in recent weeks.

The 24-year-old has started the past five games in all competitions, and he feels his patience while out of the side is starting to pay off.

He said: "It's been really good being back in the team, it was a tough period out of the team but I've supported Marko all the way and that is always the same.

"Whether I'm playing or not playing I won't change as a person, I'll keep my standards high and be ready when I'm called upon.

"I'm not the type of person to spit my dummy out when things aren't going my way, I'm a team player and I want the team to do well."

With a busy December coming up for Rovers, Lawlor is keen for them to pick up as many points as possible as they look to continue their play-off push.

He added: "We've got some really tough games coming up, the quality in this league is really high now and we're fully focused on picking up more points.

"In football the Christmas period is a big time of the year in terms of managing to pick up results, if you take your chances then it can help you climb the table.

"We had a good run over Christmas last season and won three games on the bounce, it can really help you to kick on."
