Former Rovers forward Gary McSheffrey is enjoying his new role as Academy professional development phase coach.
The 36-year-old has been working alongside U18 boss Paul Stancliffe and development manager John Schofield, and is able to pass on his experiences from featuring in more than 550 competitive games.
McSheffrey, who spent 18 months as Rovers as a player, is enjoying his move into coaching at Cantley Park.
"I am thoroughly enjoying it and when you see the boys taking things on board that you talk about in the week and they use it in the game it is rewarding," he said.
"Obviously when you transition into a role like this you want it to be geographically right for you first and foremost, which it is, then you want to be able to have a good relationship with the people that you work with.
"Luckily I know the staff from before and it's been easy to slot in, and I am looking forward to the future."
