Grant McCann says his players are focused on getting the job done ahead of the Emirates FA Cup first round replay against Chorley on Tuesday night.

Rovers go up against the National League North side following a 2-2 draw at Victory Park in the first meeting between the two sides.

He said: “It was a tough game and we knew that it was going to be, we started slowly and conceded from a corner in the first few minutes.

“We grew into the game and their goalkeeper was excellent, they will be coming here full of confidence after a win at the weekend.

“My job is to get us into the next round and that’s our only aim, we’ve watched them since the first game and we know everything about them.”

Rovers go into the game on the back of a 2-1 victory over AFC Wimbledon, and McCann says that result has lifted the mood in the dressing room.

He added: “It’s been a frustrating run of results for us so it was good for us to get a win when we weren’t at our best.

“We can focus on the cup for now and make sure we get through, we want to play with an identity and on the front foot.

“We’ve said all along that we want to do well in this competition, our main focus is the league but an FA Cup run can be great for the football club.”

Tickets for the game against Chorley are available from the Club Doncaster Box Office, on 01302 762576 or at tickets.clubdoncaster.co.uk.
