Rovers boss Grant McCann says John Marquis' Player of The Month award for September is reward for his hard work.
The forward was chosen as the best player in Sky Bet League One in September by the competition's title sponsors after a month which saw him hit six goals in five games.
McCann said: "He has got a real hunger and desire to win, John, and he shows it every single day in training.
"He drives standards every day, he wants better from him and he wants better from his teammates. He is reaping the rewards of his hard work."
Sky Sports' EFL pundit Don Goodman said: "Marquis' fantastic month culminated in two goals, his 49th and 50th for Doncaster, scored on his 100th league appearance.
"A goals to game ratio like that for a modern striker, who also contributes so much to build up play, is an exceptional record and Doncaster's fortunes this season will go hand in hand with Marquis'."
