Grant McCann felt the game against Accrington was one of small margins after his team were beaten at the Wham Stadium.
Offrande Zanzala’s late winner was enough to give Stanley a 1-0 victory, and McCann says his team were missing a cutting edge at the other end of the pitch.
He said: “I didn’t think there was too much in the game, they started the better in the second-half and then we took control.
“If I’m being critical then we probably missed that final bit of quality going forward which we’ve shown for the most of the season.
“Every goal you concede is a poor one, we always think we can do better so we’re disappointed to come away with nothing.”
Rovers remain third in Sky Bet League One despite the defeat, and McCann is hoping for a reaction against Fleetwood Town on Saturday.
He added: “We responded after Burton with three draws, and we want more than that now because we’ve shown we can put a run of wins together.
“Every game at this level is a tough one, every team have players who can hurt you so we’ll make sure we recover properly and prepare well.
“We want a reaction now heading into the Fleetwood game, we need to go and try to get back to winning ways.”
