Grant McCann has challenged his side to build on their strong start to the Sky Bet League One season as the campaign enters its second quarter.
Rovers sit in the play-off positions with 21 points from the opening 12 games, with a quarter of the league season gone, and McCann wants the same application from the next dozen outings which would leave them in a strong position come the half-way stage.
He said: "In terms of our first mini-cycle of 12 games we've had a tremendous start, we've seen how tough this league is with the top three all losing on Saturday.
"This is when it matters now, these next 12 games. Teams can start pulling away from the teams below, and we've got to make sure that we are one of them."
Rovers were beaten by Fleetwood Town on Saturday in a frustrating match which saw the visitors take the points with some clinical finishing, but McCann has no doubt that the squad is good enough to maintain a promotion push.
"I've I said to the group that we will be in that top six or so, 100 per cent. This is when the league starts to take shape. If we can get anywhere near the levels we have then we'll be fine."
Rovers are back in action on Tuesday when they host Grimsby Town in the Checkatrade Trophy (7.30pm). Get your tickets now at tickets.clubdoncaster.co.uk.
