Rovers duo Grant McCann and John Marquis have been nominated for Sky Bet League One’s Manager and Player of the Month awards for September.
McCann is up for the prize after guiding the side to 13 points out of a possible 15 in September, which included heading back to his former club Peterborough United and ending their winning run in Sky Bet League One with a 1-1 draw at the ABAX Stadium.
Marquis has hit six goals in the month which included a delicate chip to give Rovers the lead in that game against the Posh, the 26-year-old also scored his 50th goal for the club in the side’s 3-2 victory over Plymouth Argyle at Home Park.
