Jermaine Anderson says he has settled in quickly since joining Rovers on a loan deal until January from Peterborough United.

The 22-year-old made his debut in the Carabao Cup second round tie against Blackpool last month, and is enjoying getting to know his new teammates.

He said: “The boys are great and I’ve settled in really well, we’ve got some good characters and everyone works hard for each other.

“I had a full pre-season and I’m ready to play, I enjoyed my debut even though we didn’t get the result we were looking for.

“You have to stay positive if you want to progress, I have confidence in myself that I can help the team here.”

Anderson’s move to Rovers saw him re-united with manager Grant McCann, who he worked under during their time at the ABAX Stadium.

He added: “I was put on the transfer list by Peterborough at the end of last season and then the gaffer gave me a call to come here.

“The system he plays is one that I like, he likes to play out from the back and very forward thinking which is what made me want to come here.

“I’ve had some tough times through injury but you just have to keep your head down and working hard, I stay level headed and try to keep improving.”
