Rovers supporters voted John Marquis as their Man of the Match following Saturday’s 1-1 draw at Peterborough United in Sky Bet League One.

The striker scored a delightful chip in the closing stages of the first-half to give Rovers the lead at the break, which would see the side pick up a well-earned point at the ABAX Stadium.

Marquis beat off competition from Tom Anderson, Herbie Kane and Tommy Rowe in the vote on Rovers' official Twitter page.

The 26-year-old collected 42 per cent of the vote, with Kane coming in second with 38 per cent.

The player with the most combined wins over the course of the campaign will be named Supporters' Player of the Year at the end of season awards ceremony.

Rovers are back in action at the Keepmoat Stadium when Newcastle United U21 visit in the Checkatrade Trophy on Tuesday September 4. Book your place now at
