Manager Grant McCann has praised Rieves Boocock, Myron Gibbons, Branden Horton and AJ Greaves after handing each of the four their first professional deals.
All four have starred in the Rovers’ U18s side which now sits top of the Youth Alliance League, have played regular U23s matches, and have featured in Rovers first team squads in the current campaign.
“I’m excited about the four of them,” McCann said.
“Rieves has scored a hat-trick in the U18s game against Grimsby, and we’ve seen what Branden is about in the Checkatrade Trophy. Myron is a young man with huge potential, he’s probably the quickest at the club and that is saying something because Mallik Wilks is quick and AJ is so aggressive in midfield, he likes to get on the front foot and that’s what we look for.
“I’m really pleased with the four of them and hopefully we can work with them and nurture them. What I will say is that, as much as we’ll do that, we need the buy in from them and then hopefully the four of them can have a good future at Doncaster.”
