As part of Rovers' two weeks of action to raise awareness of equality and diversity across Doncaster, the club is holding a boot drive for a local refugee football team.
The side, Doncaster Conversation Club United (DCC United), have been training at the Club Doncaster Sports Village for the past few months and have recently joined a seven-a-side evening league. While sponsorship for shin pads and kit has been achieved, the team have really struggled to source suitable footwear (preferably astro trainers but football boots are welcome). To help, Rovers are holding a boot drive where supporters are invited to donate old boots and trainers to help support DCC United.
If supporters have any boots (either astro trainers or football boots) which are no longer in use and can be donated to the team, they can do this by dropping the boots off at designated Fit Rovers points at Rovers' two remaining home Saturday matches against Plymouth Argyle (April 13) and Coventry (May 6).
