Ollie Yates is the man in the middle when Rovers welcome Plymouth Argyle to the Keepmoat Stadium on Saturday.

Yates was fast tracked to the EFL after just one year in the National League. He took charge of his first EFL game in 2016, a Sky Bet League Two match between Yeovil Town and Notts County which ended in favour of the Glovers.

His first game of the current campaign was a League One affair between Oxford United and Fleetwood Town which the visitors won 2-0. He has officiated a further 33 matches in the current campaign awarding 129 yellow cards and five reds.

Saturday will be the third time that Yates has taken charge of a Rovers game with both previous games ending with wins for Rovers. The first match finished 5-1 when Rovers travelled to Morecambe in League Two, the second a 2-1 away victory at Blackpool in the 2017/18 season.

Yates will be assisted by Matthew Smith and Paul Hobday. The fourth official is Alix Pashley.
