Andy Woolmer is the man in charge when Rovers travel to the Stadium of Light on Good Friday.

Woolmer took charge of his first EFL match in 2004, a Sky Bet League Two clash between Kidderminster and Notts County which ended in a goalless draw. Woolmer impressed quickly and took charge of his first Championship game in January 2005.

The Northamptonshire referee first officiated a Rovers match in 2007, a midweek match against Chesterfield which ended 1-1 – most recently he took charge of Rovers’ 3-0 home win over Scunthorpe United.

Woolmer has overseen 26 matches in the current season across League One, League Two, and the Championship. He has awarded 78 yellow cards and four reds.

Woolmer will be assisted by Matthew McGrath and Mark Dwyer. The fourth official is Anthony Backhouse.
