Doncaster Rovers Legends are back again to take on Leeds United this May, helping to raise money for Doncaster based cancer charity, The Eve Merton Dreams Trust.

Last year’s event saw Rovers Legends team, led by Brian Stock, come out with a fantastic win. Hero of the 2008 League One play-off final, James Hayter, foiled Leeds once more with first half goals in a fantastic display.

This year the charity have already announced two signings, Brian Stock and Paul Heffernan, with more to follow.

Brian Stock, the captain of that play-off final winning team, made 193 appearances for the club. Heffernan was another to have a huge impact in Rovers history, making 127 apps and scoring 35 goals, one of which came in the 2007 Football League Trophy win over Bristol Rovers.

The game will take place on Saturday May 25 at the Keepmoat Stadium with a 14:00 kick-off. Leeds United have already announced legendary striker Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink and Danny Mills, with the promise of more big names to boost their side. Ticket pricing has been kept low, making this a great, affordable, family day out for the fans.
