Mallik Wilks says he and the rest of the Rovers squad are ready to finish the job they’ve started by securing a Sky Bet League One play-off place.
The Leeds United loanee has 16 goals to his name already this season, and is in the hunt for more with three games of the regular campaign remaining.
He said: “From the day I arrived I clicked with people and they all made me feel welcome, it’s a great group of lads and we’ve got the best out of each other all season long.
“The gaffer brought me in and made things easy for me, he explained what he wanted from me with the system he likes to play.
“When things are falling for you it’s easier to try more things on the pitch, we have developed as the season has gone on.”
Already a fans favourite at the Keepmoat Stadium, Wilks has enjoyed being able to give something back to the Rovers’ supporters.
He added: “It means a lot to us because we know how hard the fans work to be able to afford to come to watch us home and away.
“Our performances and where we are in the table is what they deserve, it’s about us giving something back to them.
“The fans give it their all and travel up and down the country, wherever we’re playing they travel in their numbers.”
