Reece James says the Rovers defence are focused on trying to keep their first clean sheet of the season this weekend.

Lincoln City are the visitors to the Keepmoat Stadium on Saturday, and James believes defensive solidity will go a long way to getting the result.

He said: “As a defender it’s massive to try and get a clean sheet, it’s what you pride yourself on and hopefully we can get one soon.

“We need to make sure that is a part of our game both home and away because it’s important to be ruthless in both penalty areas.”

Since arriving in the summer, James has enjoyed working on his game under manager Darren Moore.

He added: “The manager has come in and made sure everyone feels a part of the group, whether you’re starting or on the bench.

“Having that togetherness in the group can take you a long way in football and he has gone a long way to making that happen here.

“He wants me to be positive in my play and express myself more each week, he has been like that with everyone and works really hard in training.”
