Kazaiah Sterling has said he is ready to kick on at Rovers after signing a season-long loan from Tottenham Hotspur.
The youngster has impressed at his parent club and has been included in the Champion League finalist’s Emirates FA Cup squad but is ready to make an impression at Rovers.
“I went on loan last season and didn’t play as much as I would have liked but I can use that experience and be ready to kick on this season. I’m hoping to be involved in more games and help the team,” said Sterling.
“I’ve come here to play football and I can’t wait to get started on the pitch with the boys. I’m looking forward to getting into it.
“I want to show everyone I can compete at this level and I want to get some goals.”
Sterling has previously spent time on loan at Sunderland AFC and believes his time there will help him hit the ground running League One.
“I think being on loan before will be a big factor in helping me settling in quickly. This is my second loan so I feel quite comfortable settling in at senior level,” he added.
“Spurs have told me to get some independence and show the ability that they believe I have and be myself.”
Rovers welcome Fleetwood Town to the Keepmoat Stadium on Saturday August 17. Tickets are available online at tickets.clubdoncaster.co.uk, in person from the Club Doncaster Box Office or on the phone (01302) 762576
