On Saturday August 17, the latest batch of young footballing talents will put pen to paper as the U9s sign their first schoolboy terms.
The youngsters have been invited to the Keepmoat Stadium for the day, where they will be shown around prior to the game against Fleetwood Town.
The schoolboys will be shown around the stadium prior to kick off and the first stop will be the home team dressing room, where the boys will be presented with replica match kits freshly printed with their own surnames and signed by the first-team staff and players.
They will then be taken pitch side, posing for photos and meeting the manager before taking in the surroundings where they will one day hope to make their Rovers debut.
Finally, as the first team walk out for their fixture, the boys will accompany the team as mascots before being presented to the crowd at half time.
The young lads’ contracts will see them work under the tutelage of the Academy coaches next season as they look to improve their skills and progress to the next level of their young careers. They will look to follow in the footsteps of Rieves Boocock who signed his first pro-deal this season having joined Rovers as an U9.
