Ellgia extends North Stand sponsorship at Club Doncaster

12 December 2019

Ellgia Recycling has renewed its Official Platinum Partnership and North Stand sponsorship with Club Doncaster and with it launched their ‘Seen to be Green’ campaign.

Since becoming involved with the club more than 12 months ago, Ellgia has provided waste recycling services to Club Doncaster, while significantly increasing their presence in the town.

The ‘Seen to be Green’ campaign will see staff, supporters and players get together to help clean up Doncaster in the new year, with a series of litter picks throughout the borough.

Marketing and new business development director at Ellgia, David Chamberlain said: “Ellgia are extremely pleased to not only enter our second year as a platinum partner of Club Doncaster, but also excited to launch this fantastic initiative between ourselves and Club Doncaster.

“As a company, our ‘Seen to be Green’ campaign will be rolled out across all of our operating regions. The fact Club Doncaster have asked to be the pilot scheme is testament to the values they hold within the community.”

Before the big clean up in Doncaster starts, supporters are encouraged to vote for the area they think deserves some tender loving care via social media or by emailing commercial@clubdoncaster.co.uk.

Then the team effort will really start, with supporters welcome to join Club Doncaster and Ellgia representatives to make the town sparkle. Those who do lend a hand will be entered into a competition to win Doncaster Rovers hospitality, courtesy of Ellgia.

Jon Warburton, head of commercial at Club Doncaster, said: “Having the support of Ellgia for a further year means a great deal to us all at Club Doncaster.

“We are extremely keen on forming relationships with companies who see the true value of partnership working and Ellgia are a shining example of that.

“As much as the high profile nature of the North Stand sponsorship is important, the quirky element of the ‘Seen to be Green’ campaign will allow us to engage with supporters and really introduce them as a company to people in the town.”

Ellgia are one of the leading waste management, recycling and skip hire businesses across Lincolnshire, South Yorkshire and East Anglia, and are continually looking to improve the environment through new initiatives like the seen to be green campaign.
