Darren Drysdale will be the man in charge when Rovers host Sunderland AFC at the Keepmoat Stadium on December 29.
Drysdale is in his 16th season as an EFL referee after taking charge of his first league match in 2004.
The Lincolnshire based official has taken charge of 22 matches in the current campaign handing out 80 yellow cards, and two red cards.
Drysdale has taken charge of one Rovers match already this season when he oversaw our Emirates FA Cup tie at AFC Wimbledon. In that game, he handed out three yellow cards with Joe Wright and Danny Amos going in the book for Rovers.
Drysdale will be assisted by Ravel Cheosiaua, and Wade Smith. The fourth official is Samuel Barrott.
