Rovers chief executive Gavin Baldwin has spoken of his pride in his staff after the club were named FSA Away Day of the Year for 2019 at the annual Football Supporters Association awards on Monday evening.
Rovers were recognised for the warm welcome given to visiting fans at the Keepmoat Stadium.
Gavin said: "This is a special award for us as we were put forward on the back of fan nominations, which shows that the people who come to our games recognise the efforts that go into making matchdays about more than just what happens on the pitch.
"We were recognised earlier this year as the best family club in the EFL and have had regular events like fan parks with live music outside the Belle Vue Bar, but we believe we remain in a minority of clubs in looking to replicate our family area in the away end.
"While we always hope for three points to come our way on the pitch, we recognise the times spent by supporters of all clubs following their team across the country. We want fans of other sides in our division to look at us as a match they cannot miss because of the warm welcome."
Rovers were shortlisted alongside Accrington Stanley, Arsenal, Cardiff City, Leicester City, and Wigan Athletic as one of the top six away day experiences in the country.
The shortlist was created by supporters with the final decision made by an experienced judging panel - with Rovers coming out top at Monday night's glittering award ceremony in London.
Away supporters are treated to a welcoming environment when arriving in Doncaster and can take advantage of the away family area which includes a PlayStation loaded with FIFA 20 and activities hosted by Club Doncaster Foundation.
