Rovers U10s played host to an EFL festival on Sunday morning at the Club Doncaster Sports Park.
The team were joined by sides from Grimsby Town, Rotherham United, Chesterfield and Bradford City with every team playing one another in a round robin style tournament.
The festival took place on the pitches near the stadium and – while the weather was cold – it was dry and sunny making for perfect game conditions and the teams proved to be evenly matched.
The festival offered an extra point to any team that scored three goal meaning the football was flowing and attacking. The whole event proved to be an excellent development exercise which challenged the young players in different ways.
Rovers are now looking to repeat the event with other age groups with an U11s festival due to take place on Sunday 12 January.
