Sheaf ready for a run of league games

6 December 2019

Ben Sheaf says the Rovers squad are looking forward to a regular run of fixtures in Sky Bet League One.

Rovers have played just twice in the league since the 7-1 victory at Southend United in October, and Sheaf feels that has halted any progress they could have made.

He said: “It’s been really difficult for us to generate momentum, it’s nice to have a rhythm of league games but we’re still looking for that.

“Things like that happen in football and it’s no excuse on our behalf but now hopefully we can put a run of wins together.

“It feels like a big opportunity to pick up some points, it’s going to be a busy schedule heading into the Christmas period.”

Having started all but one of Rovers' league games so far, the Arsenal loanee believes he is constantly improving as a player.

He added: “I’ve adapted quite well and feel my performances have been good in the main, as somebody who’s here on loan I’m really enjoying it.

“I’m enjoying having the responsibility of trying to get us going in attack and the pressure that brings, so long may that continue.

“I’ve learnt a lot while I’ve been at the club and the more games I play will only continue to develop my own performances.”
