Rieves Boocock’s fantastic right-footed finish against Mansfield Town U18 has been nominated for the League Football Education’s (LFE) January Goal of the Month.
This is third time Boocock has been nominated for the LFE Goal of the Month award but he is yet to be crowned the winner.
The LFE have shortlisted eight of the best efforts from across the Academy leagues and Boocock faces some tough competition from Jake Battersby (Cambridge United), Fabio Tavares (Rochdale), Spencer Joe Gelhardy (Wigan Athletic), Oli Shackleton (Peterborough), David Fisher (AFC Wimbledon), and Adam O’Reilly (Preston North End).
