Paul Downing says he has enjoyed a regular run of games in the Rovers side after joining the club in January.
The 27-year-old has started each of the past five league games, slotting in alongside Tom Anderson at the heart of the Rovers defence.
He said: “I’ve really enjoyed it so far and I’ve been made to feel really welcome which made it very easy for me to settle in.
“We play some really good attacking football and score a lot of goals, and I feel we’ve been good at the other end of the pitch.
“I’ve travelled in with Tom for a few weeks now and I get on really well with him, I think that’s important for any partnership on the pitch.”
This weekend’s game against Charlton Athletic is the first of seven league games for Rovers in the month of March, and Downing believes it could prove to be a pivotal few weeks.
He added: “There is a lot of football to be played, it’s important the squad stays ready as there will be opportunities for people to get in the team.
“There are seven games in March and with the form we’re in we’ll be looking to win them all, if we can take as many points as possible then we’ll be in a great position.”
