Herbie Kane is looking forward to the biggest game of his career when Rovers welcome Premier League Crystal Palace on Sunday.
Rovers are hoping to cause an upset and reach the Emirates FA Cup quarter final for the first time but Kane says he will approach this match just like any other.
“It’s probably the biggest match of my career but I try not to think too much about that,” he said.
“I’ll just go out there and play as well as I can, hopefully, that will get us the win. I won’t change my game because we’re playing against Palace. I’m just focused on myself and our team.”
Despite the difficult task ahead of them, Kane believes he and his teammates are looking forward to the challenge.
“I want to test myself and play against higher league opposition,” he added.
“I’m just trying to work hard, get as many games as I can and help the team. The manager has put a lot of trust in me which I’m thankful for. I feel like I’m doing well here and I want to help get Doncaster Rovers promoted.
“I’m more mature now because we’re coming up against different players, different playing styles and different teams every week, it’s all good experience and I feel like I’m benefiting from it.”
